The most common questions about activation, choosing an edition, and using licenses in a team.
- After purchase, the license is assigned to the email address used as the Trimble ID. The user signs in with that account in SketchUp or Trimble Account Management and the product activates automatically. If the license is not visible, check the email address, user assignment, and whether the account confirmation is complete.
- SketchUp Pro is suitable for professional modeling, LayOut documentation, and regular extension workflows. SketchUp Studio is a broader package for more demanding work: it adds tools for advanced visualization and data workflows, especially useful for architects, designers, and teams preparing larger presentations or technical deliverables.
- Yes. Team usage is handled through user management in the Trimble account. Each active user needs their own subscription seat, but an administrator can assign, remove, and reassign licenses between team members. This makes onboarding new colleagues and changing project staffing much easier.
